Five Star started the way most great things do — with two brothers who knew they could do it better. Michael McCloskey and his brother Donald Burgess had spent years in the trades watching contractors cut corners, use cheap materials, and leave homeowners with repairs that didn't last. They decided to build something different.
What began as a chimney and masonry operation grew into a full-service restoration company serving Cleveland's west side. Along the way, family joined the crew — Donald's son, Joey and Jojo Jones, their dad Donald Sr. — and so did lifelong friends like Dustin Siska, who's been with the team for 20 years.
Today, Five Star handles everything from chimney rebuilds and masonry restoration to roofing, siding, and interior remodeling. The crew is small enough to care about every job, and experienced enough to handle anything.
